Truth with a Mission Conference 15-17 June
Quotes from some of the participants:
'Many thanks to the college for organising such a fantastic conference. It was the first time I'd been back to the college for many years and I found it a real inspiration.'
'A week has now passed since we returned home from Bristol, and we are both still aglow as we continue to contemplate the wonderful conference and super time that we enjoyed at Trinity.'
Saying goodbye
Meet our 2010 leavers; many of them were ordained in July. Please pray for them all as they go to their new roles. A version of the leaflet will be included in the next newsletter too.
We said our official goodbyes to the 49 leavers at a Valedictory Service at St Mary's, Stoke Bishop on Saturday 5 June at which the preacher was the Right Revd Graham Clay (below with George Kovoor). Prizes were awarded for academic distinction and to those who had contributed to the community and the choir, directed by John Corrie, sang two pieces which he had written. Afterwards 200 people enjoyed lunch in the Trinity dining room.

Souvenirs of Henry Martyn

We were delighted to have a visit in June form Martyn Bateman (Clifton 1954, centre in photo above) and his daughter Mary Bateman Wang who was present at the naming of Henry Martyn House last year. Martyn gave us a copy of a sermon (1817) by Henry Martyn, which he holds in the photo, and framed photographs of Henry Martyn's house in India and of his tomb; we plan to display these in Henry Martyn House..
Keeping in touch
We value our links with former students and staff of Trinity College, Clifton Theological College, Tyndale Hall and Dalton House with St Michael's. We hope to be able to welcome you in college and that you will keep us up to date with your news (and changes of address!).
Trinity Association
The main way of keeping in touch is by joining the Trinity Association which makes sure that you have a continuing link with the college and enables you to support our work. It also gives you the opportunity to be involved in the major decisions taken. There is an Annual General Meeting of the Association each summer.
Download an application form to join the Association. All friends of Trinity are welcome to join; you don't need to have studied with us.
Online giving!
We are most grateful for financial support from alumni and others. We've just opened a JustGiving for Charities account so that you can give to us online if you would like to.
Trinity Newsletter
The Newsletter is being produced twice a year, usually at Easter and after the start of the new academic year in the autumn. You can also read it online; see Trinity Newsletters. We would like to hear from former staff and students; send us your news or ideas about what you'd like to see in the newsletter. Email the Editor. The deadline for receiving material for the next issue is 31 August 2010.
Alumni events
We aim to keep you in touch with what is going on in Trinity through the newsletter and of course through this website.
We have one main annual reunion which includes the Association AGM. The programme varies from year to year, but includes a garden party and visiting speakers, as well as an opprtunity to meet your contemporaries.
There is a Trinity College Bristol Alumnus page on Facebook. If you're on Facebook, have a look!
Sabbatical accommodation
We have a self-contained cottage in the grounds close to the main building, The Lodge, which is available for sabbatical guests. We also have some guest accommodation in college. If you are interested, please contact our Administrative Manager Mary Terry. Email Mary Terry.
If you are a church leader overseas, or if you have a particular interest in world mission, you may like to be considered to stay in Henry Martyn House, our Centre for World Christianity, and contribute to college life as a World Church Fellow.
