BA (Hons) in Theology
The BA (Hons) degree builds on the Certificate and Diploma by adding a further year of study in which credits at Level 3 are acquired (see Overview of units). In order to be awarded the BA (Hons), students must have completed at least 100 credits at Level 3.
In their third year students may select modules such as Issues in Biblical Theology (combining Old Testament and New Testament studies), or Church, Authority and Ministry in Christian Traditions, which integrates Christian doctrine and church history. Students are also offered the challenge of writing a dissertation on a selected topic.
In addition to some mandatory units, students are required to complete a certain number of credits in each subject area to ensure a balanced programme of study.
