A Trinity College conference taking place this week has been exploring the role of ‘cell church' and its effectiveness in making churches grow.

Albert Vun, Bishop of Sabah in Malaysia (in the photo), has come with a team from the diocese to share his experiences in developing St Patrick's Church, Tawau in Malaysia, along cell church principles. Today he spoke of cell church in evangelism.

The conference, held at Trinity Church, Brentwood, is being attended by pastors, lay leaders and others from churches in the London area. Bible studies from Acts 2 on the five apostolic marks of a church are being led by Revd Canon George Kovoor, Trinity Principal. Revd Dr Daniel Chae spoke from Luke 14 on God's heavenly banquet and his gracious and open invitation to all to come.

Also taking part is the Revd Dr Michaerl Carr, Pastor of Harrow International Christian Centre, which has over 40 nationalities in the congregation.  He spoke on 'multi-ethnic church'.

‘Bishop Albert Vun is a wonderful teacher', says George Kovoor, ‘speaking simply and clearly. His teaching has been greatly appreciated and people have been very encouraged and blessed.'
