Centre for World Christianity ready for use

25 March 2010
Our Centre for World Christianity, Henry Martyn House, is now ready to be used.
The Trinity community joined outside the building to give thanks that the first phase of refurbishment is complete, and to dedicate it to God's service. Revd Dr John Corrie, our Tutor in Mission, read King Solomon's prayer in 1 Kings when his temple was dedicated, and led prayers for the building's use (in the photo above).
The house, which is next to the college, is now fully furnished. There are four bedrooms, each with a with private bathroom and internet access, as well as a meeting room and kitchen.
Leaders and theologians from the world church will be invited to spend time there with us, sharing their vision, discussing their research, and giving and receiving in a variety of ways. There will be seminars and study days as well as ongoing research conversation with scholars who stay for an extended period. Those who come will raise the profile of world mission in the college and help our students to think globally as they prepare to be leaders of local churches.
