New context students commissioned

11 October 201
‘We deeply appreciate the partnership between Trinity and the Diocese of Bristol,' said Bishop Lee Rayfield yesterday evening in Henbury. He was commissioning Trinity's new students who are training in context, living and working as a group in three Bristol parishes and a Wiltshire group of villages. He thanked the leaders and PCCs of the partner churches for their involvement in Trinity's training.
At the service, held in St Mary's Church, Henbury, one of the context churches, he spoke of the excitement of going into a completely new environment, of learning to cross boundaries and make oneself vulnerable for the sake of following Jesus.
The service was introduced by the vicar, Revd David Lloyd, who supervises the Trinity students working in the 'BS10' context in Henbury, Brentry and Hallen.
This year we have 34 students training in the four contexts. Some of them are in the photo with the bishop (centre), Revd David Lloyd (back row, right) and Revd Sonja Arnold (front right), who is the tutor in charge of context-based training.
