Trinity teachers at environmental conference

Two of the Trinity teaching staff have been in the USA, taking part in discussions on Christian responsibility for the environment.
Canon George Kovoor (Trinity Principal, above right) and Dr John Bimson (Tutor in Old Testament, above left) attended a conference at the Overseas Ministries Study Center at Yale, New Haven, Connecticut on the part played by religious faith communities as advocates for the environment. John Bimson gave two Bible readings on the topic, which were so well received that he is to be invited back to give a week's teaching. He was responsible for developing Trinity's new MA course on Environmental Theology and Mission,
George Kovoor and John Bimson also paid a visit to the Sterling Divinity School at Yale and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
