OLM course sep2010

Bristol Diocese ministerial training

Trinity provides training for those who are studying through the Bristol Diocese to be Local Lay Ministers (LLMs) and Ordained Local Ministers (OLMs). The first students who started in September 2009 completed the part-time Certificate in Theology in summer 2011.

This award requires the accumulation of 120 credits of study at Level 1 (see Overview of units). Modules are grouped into subject areas to ensure that your selection of modules maintains a proper breadth of study. Particular constraints apply to ordination candidates in order to meet Church of England requirements. The Certificate can be completed in one year full time or two years part time. Diocesan LLM and OLM students complete the Certificate in two years through evening classes, weekends and a summer school.

This evening course is open to others; this year we have about 60 in the course.

The course is now open to ordinands from other dioceses who are able to come to Bristol to study.
