Dictionary of Missionary Theology: Evangelical Foundations
Edited by John Corrie; consultant Editors Samuel Escobar and Wilbert Shenk
(IVP, 2007)
With nearly 500 pages and 165 articles from all over the world, this is a major contribution to evangelical mission. John has made it his aim to outline the dimensions of a mission theology that is biblical as well as integral, contextual, dialogical and transformational. He was able to get a 'majority contribution from the majority world', thereby reflecting the contemporary shift in the dynamics of missiology to the Global South. It is hoped that it will be a book accessible worldwide to both academics and students of mission, and for those preparing to serve in mission, and it will certainly be making its contribution to courses at Trinity!
