Learn by doing: practical training

Trinity training is not just about gaining knowledge; it is about putting that knowledge into practice. We aim to grow in both faith and knowledge.

Jesus Christ is the model for a life that is marked by profound understanding of God, a deep personal relationship with him, and a sacrificial practical ministry. We aim to follow this model in our training, by providing regular opportunities for a variety of practical work, in both church and secular settings, alongside the academic teaching.

At Trinty we have two 'tracks' in our training, college-based training and context-based training, which are open to all full-time students. Both involve practical work alongside academic teaching, but the practical work is organised in different ways for the two tracks.

In context-based training, your practical work and your reflection on it will mainly centre on your context community and will therefore have a sharper focus.
