Open Learning
Enabling every church to be a God-centred, biblically-based community of mission
As an integral part of Trinity's vision, Open Learning aims to resource the church with world-class educational tools for ministry and mission through effective training in biblical knowledge, discipleship and leadership.
Open Learning offers an academically credible interactive learning experience that seeks to be:
- God centred - nurturing personal spiritual growth as students grow in their knowledge of God.
- Bible based - encouraging students to engage with the biblical text in its own context and apply it today.
- Discipleship oriented - enabling students to follow Jesus through self-motivated learning as part of an active learning group under the guidance of a tutor.
- Ministry and mission focussed - seeking to apply what is learned in the life and witness of the church within society and the world.
Over the next few years, Trinity College will be developing various Open Learning programmes offering accessible and flexible learning at different levels. At present, we are focussing on developing our Foundations programme.
