Canon George Kovoor, Principal of Trinity College Bristol, became a Canon Missioner yesterday in Malaysia.

At a ceremony in All Saints' Cathedral, Kota Kinabalu, attended by about 1,700 people, George Kovoor was collated (the official term) Canon Missioner of the Anglican Diocese of Sabah by the bishop, the Right Revd Albert Vun.

The role involves being involved with education, mission thinking and strategy for the Diocese of Sabah and preaching in the cathedral at least once a year.

Bishop Albert Vun willl speak at one of our two summer conferences,  The Gospel - God's Ancient Future.  (22-24 June 2011 in Brentwood, Exxes).
