Sport and exercise
Sporting activities vary from year to year depending on the interests and abilities of the current students. We are entitled to join in Bristol University sport.
We have our own football team, Trinity Tigers (photo above, showing the 2009-10 team), which takes part in the University football league; matches are usually on Wednesday afternoons on the Downs, very near to Trinity. We're very glad to report that the Tigers finished top of their group in the league in 2009-10. (They didn't do so well in 2011-12; we have great hopes for 2012-13!)
One Saturday in May 2012 our cricket team took part in a series of 15-over matches against two other theological colleges (see the two action shots, right). We did not actually have a cricket team before the challenge came to play, but nets practice was quickly organised, a team formed and a great day had in Oxford with an enthusiastic band of supporters.
We have our own small games room (right) with table tennis and snooker; croquet and volleyball can be played in the grounds. There is table football in the common room (if you count that as sport or exercise).
We have a lovely 9-acre campus with lawns and woodland, and the nearby Downs provide an extensive area which is ideal for running, walking, flying kites or kicking a ball around.
If you think we should do more in the way of sport, come and get something started!
